Patricia Hassey (Allard)..one of the most respected in her field of religious artifact..and a "favorite"..upon receiving this job...it was by far, the most unusal, an complex job put in front of us..with marble..marble..marble..everywhere..a bronze inset tabernacle..and marble backed walls..with and the "kicker"..marble tiled..with gold leaf..and 2 "guard angels..usually a set of 8 is proper..in size variations..2 of each..ending 2nd from "tabby" kneeling and if lucky..still a set of altar tabby 20"angels on each side....in this church..was most distinct..when everything is marble..the angels..and dating of church went way back to 1870..the "angels.." were also inset in to the marble..but mosiac.with gold leaf....a challenge sure..but..saving this "Art"..is important..best i could come up with..is take down of wall..and over time..the lines..of putting up were worn..and Saving the art..ended up with the cutting of the marble..wall..baldachine/pillisters,and tabernacle..was cut..,and saved..and also the alter of marble..was attached to steps also..saving the art..the pieces..and workinr the broker end..for them..at tmes was a challenge..DONE..SOLD..and in a wonderful museaum..safe and sound..this was a favorite..and you have to say...most beautiful.
